Jump_Unity
A small game prototype made for Untitled Game Jam 120. The theme was explosions and/or different dimensions. Originally had more ideas for mechanics, but I got real busy, and didn't get a whole lot done.
Controls:
-WASD: Move
-Space: Jump
-Left Click: Fire a rocket in the direction of the cursor (there are no targets for you to shoot, rockets are purely for movement.)
Explosions from the rockets are used to propel you across distances you cannot jump over normally.
The best way to get distance with rocket jumping is to jump, then fire a rocket in the opposite direction of the way you want to go, near your feet. Different timings with the rocket will give you different distances.
You can also use explosions to "climb" up walls by shooting the wall just below where the player is.
The final segment is the hardest, and requires you to rocket jump twice in a row before going over the kill platform, or to make several small jumps in a row without touching the ground.
If you've ever played a TF2 jump map, it should be pretty easy for you. If not, I tried to make it not super hard to figure out, but the last part is a little tricky.
